This is a relation to the Prunus Kanzan with white flowering blossoms during mid April,, Prunus Shirotae is one of the first cherry blossoms to get it’s flowers. This variety of Cherry Blossom, holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Prunus Shirotae likes to be grown in full sun, with reasonable well drained soil and it is a really hardy tree.
Currently Prunus Shirotae is available as a bareroot tree that is approximately 8-9 foot tall with a girth of 6-8cm. It is a hardy tree that is easy to grow and doesn’t need too much attention.
