Prunus Royal Burgandy, is a Cherry Blossom with reddish-black leaves, they are deep coppery red when they start to appear on the tree and turn a stunning orange/scarlet during the Autumn. The flowers from the Prunus Royal Burgandy, are clusters of double pink that can start to appear even before the leaves during Spring.
Planting Cherry Blossoms in a sunny spot, shelftered if possible, as the strong winds can take the blossoms from the tree – it does give you an amazing carpet of flowers. It will tolerate most soil types, as long as it's well drained.
Cherry blossom trees do best in a sunny, sheltered spot – strong winds can strip a tree of its blossom.
It can take 20 years for the Royal Burgandy to mature to it's maximum height of 20ft. Currently the trees in stock stand at 10-12 feet tall and will give your garden immediate impact upon planting.
