Ornamental Pear is also known as Pyrus Chanticleer. It is a narrow conical tree that has masses of creamy white flowers during Spring and are followed by small brown fruits.
During the Autumn months the dark green leaves turn yellow, red and orange. The Ornmental Pear is a fast growing tree and it is one of the earliest trees to get its leaves and loses them very late. It is best to plant it in a sheltered position so that it is not getting the full blast of the wind.
Plant the Pyrus Chanticleer, in full sun, in a sheltered spot and in well drained soil. It is a really hardy tree and would suit any sized garden.
COLLECTION ONLY – Currently trees are available for collection only from Rockbarton Garden Centre.
