Labernum Half Standard is a tree that stands at approximately 5 feet in the pot. The tree will remain at this height and the branches will continue to grow every year. It is suitable as a centrepiece for a flower bed or border and perfect if you’re looking to plant a tree into a large pot. It is a small deciduous tree with leaves that are slightly hairy beneath.
Labernum will flower during late spring and early summer with dense, drooping racemes of pea-like yellow flowers appear followed by partially-developed hairy seed pods. I always think they are like golden drops of rain from the tree.
*All parts highly toxic if ingested.
