Fagus Sylvatica Purpurea is a Copper Beech Tree. Copper Beech can be grown as hedging or as trees. Sometimes you will see a mixed beech hedge where you will have green and copper hedging plants mixed together.
Copper Beech Trees need space as they create quite a wide canopy as the tree matures. They would particularly suit a large garden.
Copper Beech Trees will grow in most soil and likes full sun.
If you want to prune these trees(or hedging), the best time to do this is during July.
Trees are approx 6 feet tall.
