Dicentra spectabilis is also known as a bleeding heart. Dicentra spectabilis has arching flower stems which has pink heart shaped flowers with white tips. They look like mini hearts hanging from the flower stems. It can grow in shade and it looks really well when planted in clumps together. The foliage is attractive with fern green leaves that will add texture and interest to the flower border. It looks well planted in woodland gardens, shaded borders and cottage gardens.
