Calathea – Prayer Plant

Calathea has gorgeous foliage with varieties that have different coloured leaves and markings. 

Your Calathea likes to be kept out of direct sunlight as it will dull the colour of the leaves of the plant. The ideal  conditions for a Calathea is near a window in a bright room like the kitchen, bathroom or living space.The Calathea, prefers a room temperature of at least 16C

When you are watering, use distilled or bottled water as the impurities in tap water cause the leaves to brown.  Water once or twice a week in summer and less often during the winter months.

Fertilize once a month during Spring, Summer and Autumn with houseplant fertilizer
