Aconitum Bressingham Spire

Aconitum  ‘Bressingham Spire’ is an amazing old fashioned herbaceous perennial. Dense spikes of hooded, violet-blue flowers develop on strong stems that should not require staking. Additionally, the foliage appears deeply divided and glossy dark green. 

Aconites are perfect plants for containers, beds/borders and even as a cut flower! When mature, this variety can reach a maximum mature height of 90 cm and spread of 60 cm. ‘Bressingham Spire’ has be awarded The RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

CAUTION:  Aconitum can be very toxic, particularly if ingested or comes in contact with bare skin.

Plant Aconitum ‘Bressingham Spire’  in moist but well-drained soil, positioned in partial shade. It can withstand full sun however in very hot sunny areas the leaves may appear to be burnt a long the edges. Easily divided every 3 to 4 years, in early spring. Do not allow the plant to become dried out.
