Lynda Sheehan, the owner of the Rockbarton Garden Centre at Holycross, Bruff, has captured the Business Innovation accolade in the Network Limerick Businesswoman of The Year Awards 2020. Delighted with the vindications, Lynada told the Vale Star, “Getting the award was totally unexpected and all the more appreciated for that reason. I’m in awe of the amazing women in Network Limerick and the power that comes in helping each other, either in Business, or evening you need just need chat. The support from my family in running the Rockbarton Centre over the last five years or so has been immense. I could not do this without the support of my husband Bryan and all my family. This year in particular, has been hugely challenging, and I’m not saying that my business has work perfectly, but, as a one woman show, I have done my best”.
Juggling things
“Like everyone else, juggling home schooling, deliveries, stock management, planting schemes, has been a massive challenge. Any of this would not be possible without the hugh support offered by the members of the community in the locality.Bruff, Grannge, Meanus, and the surrounding areas,” Lynda added. “The encouragement that I have received over the last week, the well wishes, the messages and the phone calls to wish me well in the Business Innovation Awards Final were overwhelming. I have no to boss to tell me that I’m doing a great job, here’s a bonus, but I have something better. I have a community letting me know that they are behind me and support my business, and, for that, I am truly grateful, “the Rockbarton Garden Centre owner signed off.
Rockbarton Garden Centre will host a special gardening class for children on Saturday 19th September. Keep an eye on next week’s Vale Star for further details.
